Ducks have been living swell lives at the Prince Albert Memorial Gardens in the month that has followed their June 5 release.

The Daily Herald caught up with the ducks on Thursday, during which the fluffy white birds were seen soaking up some shade during a particularly warm afternoon.

Local schoolchildren and residents of senior homes raised the ducks from chicks and released them into the gardens’ pond -- an annual tradition.

The children and seniors who raised the ducks are known to stop by the pond throughout the year to check up on their avian friends.
