Man, 26, stabbed in leg

Police are investigating an incident early Tuesday morning in which a man received a single stab wound to the leg.

Patrol members were dispatched to the 500 block of 28th Street East at 4:13 a.m. after receiving a complaint of a male who had been stabbed.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was involved in an altercation with another person inside the residence, which ended with the victim’s leg being stabbed. The victim and suspect are believed to be known to one another.

Parkland Ambulance treated the victim, who was transported to the Victoria Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No further details are available at this time and police continue to investigate.
