Car accident ends in arrest

On Saturday at 2:41 a.m., Prince Albert Police Service members responded to the complaint of a motor vehicle incident in the 100 block of River Street West. While on route to the accident, police were informed the suspect fled on foot.

Two vehicles were located on scene with substantial front-end damage, with four occupants still inside one vehicle. The suspect who fled on foot operated the other vehicle.

Three people were transported by Parkland Ambulance to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

After a short track by a K-9 unit, the suspect was located and arrested.

A 19-year-old male has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, exceeding .08 and two counts of breach of recognizance. A court appearance has been set for mid-July at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
