After spending almost a week on the lam, Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, has been arrested.

Both suspects in Monday’s assault and robbery of a 66-year-old woman at Montreal Lake Cree Nation are in custody.

Prince Albert Police Service personnel found Henderson, who remains in custody pending further investigation into the matter, Waskesiu Lake RCMP Sgt. Al Presler wrote in a release issued on Saturday.

Henderson’s alleged accomplice Shantel Lauren Mike, 26, was arrested in Prince Albert without incident on Wednesday.

The two had been on the lam following Monday’s assault and robbery of a 66-year-old woman at Montreal Lake Cree Nation.

RCMP report that the victim was assaulted in a vehicle at the Montreal Lake Medical Clinic and that the vehicle was later found in the Sturgeon Lake area.

The victim was found in a residence near the vehicle.

The victim was transported to hospital where Presler noted earlier this week that she was receiving treatment and recovering.

A second stolen vehicle, allegedly tied to the two suspects, was located in Prince Albert.

Henderson faces the following charges: attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle and three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.

Mike, of Beardy’s Okemasis First Nation, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery and two counts of stealing a motor vehicle.
