One fugitive down, one to go.
Facing multiple charges stemming from the June 30 assault and robbery of a 66-year-old woman at Montreal Lake Cree Nation, Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, remains on the lam -- potentially in the Prince Albert area.
“He could possibly be anywhere at this time,” Waskesiu Lake RCMP Sgt. Al Presler said, noting that while Henderson has ties to the Prince Albert area he hasn’t necessarily confined himself to that community.
His alleged accomplice, Shantel Lauren Mike, 26, was arrested in Prince Albert on Wednesday without incident and appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday morning.
A wanted fugitive who may be armed and dangerous, the RCMP is discouraging anyone from approaching Henderson, and to instead call the police.
The RCMP wants anyone with information about Henderson’s location to contact their local RCMP detachment or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
For more immediate sightings, people can dial 911.
Henderson faces the following charges; attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery, two counts of stealing a motor vehicle and three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.
The victim was reportedly assaulted in a vehicle at the Montreal Lake Medical Clinic and was later found at a residence in the Sturgeon Lake area, near the same vehicle.
The victim was subsequently transported to hospital where Presler noted that “she’s receiving treatment there and recovering.”
A second stolen vehicle, allegedly tied to the two suspects, was located in Prince Albert.
The RCMP is working with Major Crime Unit North and city police in tracking down Henderson.
