The city’s elected officials approved the appointment last month.

Person has worked with the city since 1994 when she started as a clerk in the planning department, having held a clerical certificate from SIAST.

She obtained her legislative government administration certificate in 2003 and has been assistant city clerk since 2005.

In a release, Toye commended Person for her appointment.

“Ms. Person brings with her a wealth of knowledge and is a practical, big-picture, problem solver and strategic thinker. Her expertise will provide a solid base to continue building the City’s future.”
