A pair of MLAs in the region have been given new government roles.
Victoria Jurgens, MLA for Prince Albert Northcote, will serve as the legislative secretary for government relations for northern Saskatchewan.
A Sask. Party release said the role will her “take the lead on issues facing northern Saskatchewan that include economic development, training and education, and continuing strong working relationships between the province and communities across the north.”
Meanwhile, Nadine Wilson, the MLA for Saskatchewan Rivers, has been appointed as legislative secretary to the premier, and as the provincial secretary.
A release said that the Provincial Secretary is a member of the Executive Council who reports to the premier, while the legislative secretary to the premier is a leadership role in the Legislature when the premier is absent.
