A man is facing multiple charges following a break and enter in the east end of the city early on Monday morning.
Prince Albert police were dispatched to the 500 block of 18th Street East at 1:26 a.m. after receiving a report of a break and enter in progress.
Upon their arrival, officers met with the complainant, who had observed a man inside the building after responding to an intrusion alarm.
The suspect, who caused significant damage to the interior of the building, tried to escape through an exit before police apprehended him. Police cleared the building by deploying a K9 unit.
Jordan Daniel Ballanytne, 38, has been charged with break and enter and three counts of breach of probation. He made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.
