Weekend ambulance roundup – 52 incidents

Through the weekend to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Parkland Ambulance Care paramedics responded to 52 incidents in the Prince Albert area.

The following incidents of note were included in a weekend roundup press release issued on Sunday afternoon.

• A 31-year old woman suffered minor injuries as a result of an assault in the 1100 block of 13th Street West at about five minutes into Saturday. She was taken by ambulance to hospital.

• In good condition at latest update, a 5 a.m. motor vehicle collision in the 400 block of 22nd Street East resulted in injuries to a 24-year-old woman on Saturday. She was taken by ambulance to hospital.

• Minor injuries were reported as the result of an assault in the 1400 block of 13th Street West at about 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. A 60-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to hospital.

• Injured in a 11:45 p.m. assault in the 1000 block of Branion Drive on Saturday, a 38-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries and taken to hospital.

• A 2 a.m. assault on Sunday resulted in minor injuries to a 22-year-old man. The incident took place in the 1300 block of Second Avenue West, with the man taken by ambulance to hospital for further care.

• A 37-year-old man was treated for minor injuries following a 3:45 a.m. assault on Sunday in the 700 block of Second Street East. Paramedics treated the man and brought him to hospital.

• The corner of 12th Avenue and 16th Street West was the scene of an early morning assault on Sunday. At about 5 p.m., paramedics cared for a 22-year-old man with minor injuries who was taken by ambulance to hospital.

Parkland Ambulance is also reporting the latest additions to the city’s fleet of automated external defibrillators, which can now be found at more than 180 sites.

The latest life-saving devices can be seen at the MacDowall Recreation Centre, Turgeon School, Buckland Arena, St. Michael’s School and Saskatchewan Labour on the third floor of the McIntosh Building in downtown Prince Albert.
