Two-thirds of weekend arrests due to public intoxication

The Prince Albert Police Service made 44 arrests over the weekend, 29 of which were for being intoxicated in a public place.

In total, police responded to 185 calls for service during the weekend. Most of the calls were in relation to disturbances, intoxicated individuals and damage to property.

The majority of calls for damage involved motor vehicles, with police noting a cluster of damage throughout the city. Anyone with information as to who may be responsible or saw anything suspicious over the weekend is asked to call police at 306-953-4222 or to contact Crimestoppers.
