A man is facing various charges following a Monday break and enter that resulted in the theft of a substantial amount of copper wire.

Members of the Prince Albert Police Service went to a business in the 3900 block of Fifth Avenue East for a break and enter to a compound that took place sometime over the weekend.

The suspect, or suspects, had gained entrance to the compound and stolen a large amount of copper wire that was loaded onto trucks.

On the same day, police received a tip from the public about a suspect who might be responsible for the crime.

The 27-year-old man has subsequently been charged with break, enter and commit, possession of stolen property and possession of property obtained by crime.
