Assaults keep paramedics busy over weekend

Multiple assaults dominated the weekend for Parkland Ambulance paramedics.

On Saturday at 3:37 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 100 block of 25th Street West. A 17-year-old male was treated for minor injuries before being taken by ambulance to the hospital.

At 9:02 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 1400 block of 28th Street East. They cared for a 24-year-old man with minor injuries who was then taken to hospital for further care.

On Sunday at 2:18 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 500 block of 26th Street East. They treated a 20-year-old woman for minor injuries and then transported her to the hospital.
