Whispering Pine Place in Canwood no longer has visitor restrictions in place.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region put the restrictions in place on March 8 after an outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness was declared by acting Medical Health Officer Dr. Brenda Cholin.

The cause was confirmed to be a Norovirus outbreak, which was the third one the health region has dealt with in the last three months.

In all, 19 residents and 10 staff members were showing symptoms in a facility that houses 29 people with one respite bed.
