Public helps police find wanted man

Police arrested Leslie Ashton Halkett (pictured) at an East Hill residence on Friday after receiving a tip from a member of the public.

The Prince Albert Police Service is thanking local citizens for assisting in the arrest of Leslie Ashton Halkett.

A citizen who saw Halkett on the most wanted list tipped police off regarding his location. The 19-year-old fugitive was wanted on four counts of a breach of recognizance.

Police arrested Halkett without incident on Friday at a residence in the East Hill.
