Stabbing victim released from hospital

Police have released additional details on the aftermath of a stabbing that occurred early on Sunday morning.

Officers responded to an assault with a weapon complain in an East Hill residence on Sunday at approximately 1 a.m. and discovered a 16-year-old with stab wounds who was taken to the Victoria Hospital.

The victim was later transported to Saskatoon Hospital, where he was treated for injuries sustained during the assault and later released the same day. The accused and victim in the case were known to each other.

A 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and breach of court conditions. He was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
