Several arrests were made after a Saturday assault that left one person unconscious and covered in blood, but none in connection to the incident itself.

Officers initially responded to the 400 block of Ninth Street East at 5:14 a.m. after receiving a report of a large disturbance. Upon arrival, police found numerous people inside and outside of the apartment building.

Police at the scene discovered one unconscious male lying in the back stairway covered in blood. Parkland Ambulance attended and the male was taken to the hospital.

Several individuals were arrested at the scene for breaches of court orders and several for being intoxicated and causing a disturbance. However, no arrests have been made in connection with the severely injured male.

The file remains under investigation.

If these people still have an apartment to go home to, there is something wrong here. Other people have to put up with this kind of stuff, including neighbors and the police. Perhaps they should have to worry about who will rent to them anymore.
