City police respond to 169 calls

Prince Albert Police made 53 arrests between Friday and Sunday as officers responded to 169 calls.

Of the arrests, 35 were for being intoxicated in a public place. Police said most of the calls were for intoxicated persons, disturbances and willful damages.

They did have a couple of notable calls.

•  On Saturday at about 5:30 a.m., police were called to the 400 block of Ninth Street east east for a disturbance. When they arrived, the officers found a large number of people had been drinking and fighting, with an unconscious 25-year-old man suffering from head injuries. He was taken to Victoria Hospital. The inbcident remains under investigation.

•  On Saturday morning, police found that a large display window on the 1100 block of Central Avenue had been smashed. No entry was apparently gained.
