You’ll have to slow down on a portion of Highway 55 next week.

The speed limit on Highway 55 East near Little Red River Park has been dropped to 60 km/h during the Saskatchewan Winter Games, which begin on Sunday and run until the following Saturday, Feb. 22.

The change in speed limits -- which occurs for 500 metres on both sides of the park entrance -- begins on Friday at 10 a.m. and lasts until the same time on Monday, Feb. 24.

Snowboarding events will be held there from Thursday to Saturday starting early in the morning and lasting into the afternoon.

The city is also reminding drivers that there is no parking along the highway.
