An 18-year-old male has been charged with aggravated assault following a stabbing on Sunday evening.
Police responded at approximately 10:30 p.m. to a residence in the 1300 block of 17th Street West after receiving a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, police found a 20-year-old male victim who had sustained a stab wound to his chest. The victim told police his brother had stabbed him during a physical altercation between them.
The accused was arrested in the area a short time later and subsequently charged. The victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated for a three inch-deep, non-life-threatening stab wound and is reported to be in stable condition.
