Assaults, vehicle rollover dominate paramedics’ weekend

Multiple assaults and a single-vehicle rollover required the attention of Parkland Ambulance Paramedics this weekend.

As of 1 p.m. on Sunday, paramedics had responded to 48 incidents over the course of the weekend. Among the more notable incidents:

- On Saturday at 8:45 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 1000 block of First Street East and cared for a 35-year-old male with injuries. The man was taken by ambulance to hospital in good condition for further care.

- At 6:21 p.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 900 block of First Avenue East. They cared for a 40-year-old man with minor injuries who was subsequently taken to hospital via ambulance.

- At 10:26 p.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 1300 block of 17th Street West. They cared for a 20-year-old man with injuries who was taken to hospital in good condition for additional care.

- On Sunday at 1:26 a.m., paramedics responded to a single-vehicle rollover on the Little Red Reserve. Paramedics cared for a 37-year-old woman with injuries who was taken by ambulance to hospital in good condition.
