Police are reminding the public never to leave valuables in their vehicles following a series of thefts in the East Hill area on Friday.
Officers responded to four complaints of thefts from motor vehicles in the area over the course of the evening.
The thieves gained entry to the vehicles by smashing out the rear windows of the cars. Among the items stolen are personal articles such as wallets.
Police recommend that members of the public should make a habit of cleaning out their vehicles at least once per month.
