With a single draw, the Prince Albert SPCA has covered what manager Debbie Lehner estimates will be about 10 per cent of their annual veterinary care costs.

On Tuesday, Maria Jones was named the winner of a 70-inch television, after her ticket was drawn.

With The Brick donating the television, all proceeds went straight to the SPCA’s annual veterinary bill.

Having adopted three dogs from the SPCA himself, store manager Greg Miller said that the SPCA was an obvious choice when it came to the store supporting a local charity.

“My wife and I have a strong belief that animals do not have a voice, so we speak for them,” he explained.

Lehner notes that Miller also fosters animals for the SPCA and takes part in their annual Walk for Paws fundraiser.
