The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region cancelled a drop-in flu clinic to be held this afternoon at the Mac Mall because the region is running out of vaccine.

Breaking news graphic

An increased surge of people wanting the flu shot has depleted the Prince Albert inventory.

Since extreme temperatures can freeze the vaccine and make it unusable, the health region will have to wait until the weather warms up to get more vaccine.

Once they have more vaccine, the flu clinic will be rescheduled.

The clinics to be held in Shellbrook and Big River will continue as planned. Additional clinics will be scheduled when more vaccine is available.
