Paramedics have eventful evening

Parkland Ambulance paramedics began 2014 the same way they ended 2013.

Busy.

Here’s a recap of some of their calls.

• At 5:34 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 400 block of 19th Street East. Paramedics cared for a male with minor injuries, who was taken to Victoria Hospital by ambulance for further care.

• At 5:12 a.m., paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision at the junction of Highway 120 and Highway 55 near Meath Park. There were no injuries.

• At 2:13 a.m., paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 700 block of Branion Drive. There were no injuries.

• At 12:53 a.m., paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision at Sixth Avenue East and Marquis Road. There were no injuries.

• At 12:53 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 100 block of 18th Street West. Paramedics cared for a 19-year-old male with minor injuries who was taken by ambulance to hospital.

• At 12:45 a.m., paramedics responded to an assault in the 1300 block of 15th Street West. Paramedics cared for a 20-year-old male with injuries who was taken to hospital in good condition.

• Paramedics also reported incidents of cold exposure that resulted in people requiring further medical treatment in hospital.
