No notable weekend incidents: Police

The Prince Albert Police Service responded to approximately 172 calls for services from Friday at 6 p.m. to noon on Sunday, with no significant files to report.

A total of 28 people were taken into police custody, with 20 of those arrests related to individuals who were intoxicated in a public place.

The majority of the calls were for intoxicated individuals, disturbances and eviction complaints.

Police remind the public that they will be doing checkstops during the holiday season and that residents should have a designated driver or call a taxi in order to get home safely.

    You know this city has to have some of the worst drivers . They are either driving too fast for the road situation, they are running yellow and sometimes red lights, and many, many are on cell phones. No wonder we have so many accidents.
