Alleged abduction attempt puts schools on alert

Police have contacted all local schools after receiving a complaint of an alleged attempted abduction on Friday.

The Prince Albert Police Service received the complaint around noon. The complainant said that her daughter was on her way home from school when two males inside a vehicle pulled up beside her and offered her a ride.

The incident apparently happened in the 1200 block of 28th Street East at approximately 11:15 a.m. Police have been in contact with all area schools to advise them on the incident.

The vehicle used in the incident is described as a bright green SUV-type vehicle. Anyone who observed anything suspicious or the incident itself should contact Prince Albert police at (306) 953-4222.
