An impaired driving charge was laid against a 39-year-old man in Prince Albert on Sunday at about 1:45 a.m.
Police arrived on site, in the area of the 1300 block of 15th Street West, after receiving a report of an impaired driver in a red Dodge pick-up truck, according to a city police press release. Several earlier reports had a vehicle matching this description driving erratically.
Police located and stopped the vehicle, noting the driver to be intoxicated, subsequently arresting him for impaired driving.
The accused also faces a charge of driving while prohibited as a result of a previous impaired driving charge.
The accused will attend court on Monday morning.
Prince Albert Police Service is thanking citizens for continuing to call in impaired driving through the Reporting Impaired Drivers program, more commonly known as RID.
The program encourages people to pull over and call 911 when they see a suspected impaired driver.
