The Prince Albert Police Service responded to 206 calls from Friday at 6 p.m. until Sunday at noon.
Out of the calls police responded to, three of note were:
• On Friday at approximately 8 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of 28th Street East. Four vehicles were damaged in the collision and alcohol was a factor. An adult female from Denare Beach was arrested for impaired driving and will appear in court at a later date.
• On Saturday evening at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of 11th Street East. The vehicle involved in the collision was found resting against a parked vehicle. The vehicle accelerator was depressed with the vehicle in drive, which kept the drive wheels spinning against the pavement. Police shut down the vehicle and removed an adult male from the driver’s seat. Police said alcohol was a factor in the accident and the Prince Albert male will appear in court for impaired driving at a later date.
• On Saturday night at approximately 2:00 a.m., police entered into a drug trafficking investigation. Seized in the investigation was a sum of cash, cocaine, and a vehicle. The investigation involved the arrest of a Prince Albert adult male. The accused will appear in court on the following charges, proceeds of crime, drug trafficking, and breach of probation.
