Full of complaints about the Paddockwood access road last month, village resident Elmer Lammedee is reporting a much better road, this week.
On Tuesday, he said that provincial highways crews were filling the road’s final holes.
“You can go down that thing, put the cruise on 80 km/h and drive down there, you don’t have to zigzag,” he reported.
An automotive mechanic in the area for 30 years, Lammedee said that he’s seen a wide range of vehicle damage due to the road’s condition over the years -- busted tires, bent rims and holes punched in various motor vehicle components.
Now, he said that he’s without complaints -- as long as crews don’t let the road fall into disrepair again -- and that he'd like to thank crews for a job well done.
