With children back in school, the Prince Albert Police Service is reminding motorists that its traffic section will be carefully monitoring speeds in all school speed zones.
The speed limit in posted school speed zones is 30 kilometres per hour. Fines for speeding offences in school zones are nearly double the amount of fines in any other posted speed zone.
Exceeding the speed limit by just 10 km/h in a school zone will result in a fine of $210.
Motorists are urged to use caution and watch for children and other pedestrians crossing the streets.
