The Prince Albert Fire Department extinguished a truck that was on fire on Saturday amidst an otherwise quiet long weekend.
As of Sunday evening, the department had received several calls for false fire alarms and a few calls to pick up needles, but the vehicle fire was the only real noteworthy event of the weekend.
On Saturday morning at 5:45 a.m., the fire department responded to a vehicle fire behind a residence in the 500 block of Seventh Street East.
Upon arrival, crew members discovered a Dodge truck ablaze and extinguished it. The truck suffered substantial fire damage.
No one was injured as a result of the incident. The Prince Albert Police Service is currently investigating the fire.
