One of about six police vehicles is seen outside of the John M. Cuelenaere Public Library on Friday, during a call-out in response to a bomb threat that also saw members of the Prince Albert Police Department come out.
A false bomb threat was made on the John M. Cuelenaere Public Library on early Friday afternoon, closing the building for the balance of the day.
The call was received by Prince Albert Police Service at about 12:30 p.m., resulting in an immediate response by Prince Albert Police Service, Prince Albert Fire Department and Parkland Ambulance.
Heavy emergency personnel presence remained on site until about 3 p.m., when police reported that a search of the building found nothing suspicious.
Police will continue attempts to identify the identity of the person who called in the threat.
The bomb threat closed the library for the day, but it is anticipated to reopen for regular hours, at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
