EMMA LAKE, Sask. — There is a new getaway in Saskatchewan’s lake country, and it’s unlike any other resort you’ll find in the area.

Flora Bora Forest Lodging and Gardens celebrated their grand opening Saturday, giving people a chance to check out the unique, eco-friendly setup.

Guests at Flora Bora stay in yurts, a circular wooden structure covered with a durable fabric.

“It’s been about eight years ago that we got the concept when we were travelling through Southeast Asia,” said owner Karen Wasylyk. “And then we’ve just been dreaming and developing the idea ever since.”
