The harvest in Saskatchewan is almost done.

After a painstakingly slow combining season for many farmers, particularly those in the northern grain belt, the provincial crop report said 99 per cent of the harvest was done as of Thursday.

Some flax, oats and canola are still being harvested in northwestern and northeastern parts of the province, the report noted.

Flax is lagging behind at 73 per cent harvested in the northeast.

Only 25 per cent of sunflowers are harvested, but they are traditionally the last to be harvested and do not tend to experience the same type of quality decrease as other crops may from being left in the cold, said the report.
