TORONTO - The Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts took another dip into the Montreal Alouettes coaching staff Monday by signing Marcus Brady as offensive co-ordinator.
Brady replaces Jonathan Himebauch, who was the former offensive line coach in Montreal.
The 33-year-old served as offensive co-ordinator of the Alouettes last season, replacing Scott Milanovich, who left the Alouettes to become head coach of the Argonauts.
The former quarterback who started his CFL career with the Argonauts in 2002 before being traded to Hamilton prior to the 2004 season, signed as a free agent with Montreal in 2006 and joined the team's coaching staff as receivers coach three years later.
"He is one of the brightest young offensive minds in football," Milanovich said in a statement.
Brady, a San Diego native, said he was excited to work with Milanovich again.
"It's a long time since I played for the Double Blue and it's good to see this franchise become one of the top teams in the league again," said Brady. "I'm confident this organization will remain competitive and successful for the long term."
