NEW GERMANY, N.S. - The RCMP say a plane has crashed in southwestern Nova Scotia.

The Mounties say they are at the scene of an ultra-light plane crash in New Germany.

They say they received a call at around 2 p.m. today that a plane had crashed near a private airfield near Faulkingham Lane.

The pilot, a 46-year-old man, was flown to a hospital in Halifax with serious injuries.

New Germany is about 120 kilometres west of Halifax.
