UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defends his decision to decline a replacement fight on short notice that forced the promotion to scrap its most recently scheduled pay-per-view event.

UFC 151 on Sept. 1 was cancelled after light heavyweight contender Dan Henderson was sidelined with a knee injury and Jones did not want to fight Chael Sonnen on eight days' notice.

UFC President Dana White bashed Jones for refusing to accept the fight and said calling off the card was one of his "all-time lows."

Jones says he has yet to talk to White about his remarks. Jones says the promotion was wrong for expecting him to take a fight, "just like that."

Jones agreed to defend his title against Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 on Sept. 22 in Toronto.
