A man was charged on Thursday after the stolen vehicle he was driving collided with another car and flipped onto its side.
Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of Central Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. They soon located the vehicle, while was turned on its side after colliding with the other vehicle in the unit block of 15th Street East.
The driver of the offending vehicle attempted to flee the scene, but witnesses at the scene held onto him until police arrived. One pedestrian received minor injuries in the collision and was transported to the Victoria Hospital.
Cody McAdam, 21, was taken into custody and has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, impaired driving, exceeding .08, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to comply with a probation order. He was expected to make his first appearance in provincial court on Friday morning.
