Intoxicated man attempts to steal toolbox from truck

A 32-year-old Prince Albert man was arrested last Tuesday after trying to steal a toolbox from a truck.

Police responded to a disturbance call in the 3400 block of Second Avenue West at approximately 2:45 a.m. A security officer had observed an intoxicated man steal a toolbox from a truck and attempt to leave the area.

A bystander helped the officer detain the suspect until police arrived and took the man into custody.

Kelly Morin is charged with theft under $5,000 and three counts of breach of recognizance. He was remanded in custody and made his first appearance in provincial court on Wednesday.
