A 22-year-old Pakwaw Lake, Sask., man was arrested last Saturday morning after a 911 call regarding a weapons complaint.

Prince Albert Police responded at approximately 8:26 a.m. to a call from the 1500 block of 16th Street West. The complainant said a man armed with a knife was threatening people in the house.

Upon arrival, officers saw the male suspect outside the residence holding a knife. A senior officer successfully convinced him to disarm himself and surrender peacefully to police.

A female was injured slightly before the arrival of police, but not by an edged weapon.

The suspect was arrested and remanded into custody pending a provincial court appearance scheduled for Tuesday morning. He has been charged with threats and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
