The provincial government expects that more than 8,000 students will have received the Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship by the end of the fiscal year, amounting to a total value of more than $4 million.

The Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship was instituted in spring 2012 and provides new Grade 12 graduates within the province who enroll at one of 15 Saskatchewan post-secondary institutions with up to $500 per year, to a lifetime maximum of $2,000 over 10 years.

To date, the government has provided more than $2.2 million in post-secondary scholarships to 4,475 students.
