Police have revealed more details about a Prince Albert man who was found outside near death in bitterly cold weather on Saturday morning.

At approximately 11:44 a.m., police responded to a business in the 300 block of 17th Street West where the owner had found an unresponsive male improperly dressed for the weather conditions.

The 22-year-old man was transported to hospital and admitted. He appeared close to death and was suffering from extreme frostbite.

The Prince Albert Police Service believes alcohol may have been a factor and continue to investigate. The man remains in hospital.
