A young Manitoba woman was arrested on impaired driving charges early Sunday after two vehicles collided at an intersection.

Prince Albert Police received a report at 12:10 a.m. of a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at 12th Street and 13th Avenue West. Upon arrival, the drivers of both vehicles identified themselves to police, who also identified all the passengers in each vehicle.

The intersection in question does not have a device controlling traffic, but one vehicle had failed to yield to traffic approaching from the right. Further investigation revealed the driver, a 20-year-old woman from The Pas, Man., to be impaired.

No injuries were reported during the incident, but total damage exceeded $6,000.

The female suspect has been charged with impaired driving and exceeding .08.
