Saskatchewan manufacturing shipments second highest in nation

Manufacturing shipments from Saskatchewan maintained a leading position in Canada during 2012 and continue to set monthly records.

According to Statistics Canada, November 2012 saw a 4.7 per cent increase in manufacturing shipments over November 2011. Nationally, Saskatchewan reported the second highest percentage increase among provinces and set a new November record.

On a seasonally-adjusted month-to-month basis, Saskatchewan’s manufacturing shipments decreased slightly, down 0.4 per cent from October 2012.
