An 18-year-old Sturgeon Lake male was arrested on Monday after police found him hiding under a table inside a building that had just been broken into.

Police responded to a building insecurity alarm in the Unit Block of Terry Simpson Lane at 5:45 a.m. Officers at the scene observed broken window glass and dislodged security bars. After establishing a perimeter, they entered the building.

While police cleared the building, the suspect was located hiding under a table in one of the rooms. He was arrested without incident.

The man has been charged with break and enter as well as breach of undertaking. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
