This year’s annual Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission saw one Prince Albert area journeypersons awarded and another recognized.

This year’s annual Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission saw one Prince Albert area journeypersons awarded and another recognized.

Jonathan Olson, of Kinistino, received the 2012 Outstanding New Journeyperson Award in the machinist trade at a ceremony in Regina on Friday.

Zachery Brecker of Birch Hills received a Merit Education Bursary.

Olson was recognized as one of the top 35 achievers in the province, among nearly 1,700 people certified in 47 designated trades between June 30, 2011, and July 1, 2012.
