Well-loved 12-year-old cat Stinky was found safe by Econo Lumber staff on Friday after being reported missing more than a month previous.
Tisdale resident Val Kier brought Stinky with her during a trip to Prince Albert on Sept. 19, when the cat managed to get out of the vehicle.
Kier didn’t stop looking for Stinky, putting up posters and sending notices to the media.
On Friday, a staff member of Econo Lumber, who recognized him from the various “Missing cat” reports, finally found Stinky.
“He is quite skinny but never quit purring while he was here for his owners to come,” SPCA manager Debbie Lehner said. “He was just happy to have a warm place and food! A story like this makes everything we do worthwhile and rewarding.”
Stinky’s owners were quick to arrive in Prince Albert to collect their missing family member.
