SaskEnergy has officially finished work on its new natural gas pipeline under the North Saskatchewan River.

The installation of the pipeline was meant to accommodate Prince Albert’s growing population by providing the city with an alternative natural gas supply.

SaskEnergy completed the horizontal directional drill under the river to allow for the placement of an eight-inch steel pipeline. The new line is now fully operational and the temporary natural gas line that previously ran along the Diefenbaker Bridge walkway has been removed.
