A 13-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening after running in front of it.

Police were dispatched at 9:42 p.m. to the scene of a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident in the 3200 block of Sixth Avenue East. A 17-year-old Kinistino male had been driving southbound down the street when the young female ran in front of his vehicle.

Paramedics treated the girl and transported her to the Victoria Hospital. She was later transferred to a Saskatoon hospital for treatment of a leg injury.

A police investigation, including an inspection of the vehicle, is ongoing. No charges have been laid at this juncture.
