Domestic violence suspect resists arrest

An intoxicated male allegedly fighting with his girlfriend attempted to flee when police arrived, later resisting arrest and kicking one of the officers.

Police responded to a 911 emergency call from the 200 block of 9th Street East on Friday at 7:41 p.m. The suspect was found to be in possession of a sling-shot type weapon.

The suspect, 19-year-old Decody McDonald, was arrested at the scene and made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday. He was remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in Provincial Court again Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
